According to the lovesick star, only their age difference (he's 49, she's 22) could keep them apart. Later, Carrey claimed the digital flattery was just "a <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="010000000943" title="Comedy (genre)" href="/topic/arts-culture/genres/comedy-%28genre%29-010000000943.topic">comedy</a> routine."
