Elkhart Man, Juvenile Arrested for Impersonating Police

By WSBT News1

(WSBT) Elkhart police arrested two people for impersonating police officers.

They were called to McNaughton Park last night and found an SUV with blue flashing lights that had another vehicle pulled over. The Elkhart officers found two suspects wearing police-like uniforms armed with airsoft handguns.

Twenty-two-year-old David Johnson of Elkhart and a juvenile were arrested for impersonation of a public servant.

Bond was set at $25,000 for Johnson.

The juvenile was released to a parent.

Elkhart police are also investigating a similar case that happened about a week ago.
