Knox Woman Arrested after Two-Car Accident in Plymouth

By Tiffany Griffin

(SBT24/7News) A two-car accident Monday at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Queen Road ended in the arrest of a Knox woman on suspicion of possessing cocaine.

The 30-year-old woman was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail after the crash, which occurred shortly after 10 a.m.

According to a release from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, the woman was driving a 1993 Ford Escort west on U.S. 30 and ran a red light at the Queen Road intersection, causing her to hit a 1995 Chevrolet pickup heading south on Queen Road driven by Jeffrey A. White, 34, of Walkerton.

After the accident, police said, the woman admitted to officers that she had been driving without the glasses or contacts she had been required to wear, and did not have car insurance. Police said the investigating officers also found a small amount of cocaine and some cocaine paraphernalia on the woman.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. The case will be forwarded to the Marshall County prosecutor’s office for review.
