Celebrities Get First Try At New Casino

By Jim Pinkerton

(WSBT) It was a full house inside the new Four Winds Casino and Resort in New Buffalo Wednesday night. Local officials, members of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and celebrities were invited for a party before it opens to the general public.

Excitement was building as celebrities like Scotty Pippen, Steve Schirripa and The Pointer Sisters made their way down the red carpet.

The VIP pass got thousands inside to test their luck.

They tried out the gaming tables and slots a day early. Some people smiled as they tried their luck, but the real winners are members of the Pokagon tribe who hope to cash in.

Members say the casino will bring in much needed money that will hopefully provide security.
