·Sen. Shantel Krebs, Republican - Renner. Fifth term. Age 39. Retail consultant and buffalo rancher. Senate committee assignments (3) - Agriculture and Natural Resources; Health and Human Services; and Transportation. Will be chairman of Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.
·Rep. Don Haggar, Republican - Sioux Falls. First term. Age 55. Insurance. House committee assignment (1) - Appropriations.
·Rep. Jenna Haggar, Republican - Sioux Falls. Second term. Age 27. Chiropractic assistant. House committee assignments (2) - Education; and Health and Human Services.
The Haggars are father and daughter. They are one pair of parent-child legislators serving. The others are Sen. Al Novstrup, R-Aberdeen, and his son, Rep. David Novstrup, R-Aberdeen.
District 11 - Parts of Minnehaha County.

·Rep. Christine Erickson, Republican - Sioux Falls. First term. Age 34. Small business owner and homemaker. House committee assignments (2) - Judiciary; and Taxation.
·Rep. Jim Stalzer, Republican - Sioux Falls. First term. Age 66. Retired, information technology. House committee assignments (2) - Commerce and Energy; and Transportation.
District 12 - Parts of Minnehaha and Lincoln counties.
·Sen. Mark Johnston, Republican - Sioux Falls. Second term. Age 50. Health care administration. Senate committee assignments (3) - Education; State Affairs; and Commerce and Energy. Will be chairman of Senate Education Committee.
·Rep. Manny Steele, Republican - Sioux Falls. Fourth term. Age 72. Retired. House committee assignments (3) - Retirement Laws; Transportation; Health and Human Services. Will be chairman of Retirement Laws Committee.
·Rep. Hal Wick, Republican - Sioux Falls. Tenth term. Age 68. Retired, small business owner. House committee assignments (3) - Education; Taxation; and Legislative Procedure.
