MINNEAPOLIS -- Presentation's baseball team began its season Thursday splitting doubleheader with Bethel University at the Metrodome.
Chad Ellingson's RBI single scoring Dylan Segula in the sixth inning was the difference as the Saints took a 1-0 win in the first game. Presentation had just two hits in the game, the other being a single from Tyson Paulson, who also pitched four scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Segula got the win in relief.
Presentation lost a 5-2 lead in the second game as Bethel rallied for five runs during the fifth and sixth innings. Saints catcher Drew Sanders drove in a pair of runs, going 3-for-3 at the plate. Ellingson and Paulson also drove in a run each. Greg Bares pitched one inning in relief, taking the loss.
The Saints are in action again at the Tucson Invitational from March 4-8.
