DECATUR, Ind. (AP) — A northeastern Indiana recreational vehicle maker says it plans to create 300 new jobs by 2012.

Fleetwood RV announced Wednesday that it will move its California and Pennsylvania manufacturing operations to Decatur. The new jobs are in addition to 650 workers the company said it would hire last month.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation says the state will provide Fleetwood up to $9 million in tax credits and up to $100,000 in training grants.

Demand for the jobs is expected to be high in an area where thousands of RV workers have been laid off. Industry publication RVBusiness reported Wednesday that more than 1,000 people had applied for 200 jobs this week after Keystone RV announced it would expand in Goshen.
