Michigan gas prices at another all-time high

DETROIT (AP) — Another week, another gas prices record set in Michigan.

AAA Michigan says gas prices are 12 cents higher than last week, with a statewide average of $3.64 per gallon. It surpasses the previous record of 3.52 a gallon set a week ago.

The auto club said Monday the average is 68 cents higher than last year at this time.

Of the cities AAA Michigan surveyed, the cheapest price is in the Lansing/East Lansing area, where a gallon costs $3.59. The highest average can be found in Marquette at $3.71 per gallon.

Drivers in the Detroit are paying $3.62 a gallon.

The statewide average for biodiesel is $4.32 and $3.23 for ethanol.

AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily.
