BERRIEN COUNTY — Voters in Michigan are set to head to the polls on Tuesday. Candidates continue to hit the campaign trail to drum up last minute support. Republican candidate Mitt Romney made a stop in Berrien County Saturday to speak to supporters.

And those who came to hear him speak had a lot on their minds.

"Health care is really important," said voter Joe Smith.

"The war that which we must complete and come home victorious is another big issue," said Romney supporter Jim Chapman.

But for Tim Polega, illegal immigration is most important.

"I own a small business and a lot of my competition uses illegal immigrants and we don't and it distorts the marketplace and makes it tough for us to compete using actual citizens," said Romney supporter Tim Polega.

"We should say to people who come here illegally, 'Get back in line with everybody else.' No special pathway to stay here forever," said Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

Michigan now leads the nation in unemployment. Romney says restoring Michigan's economy would be his number one job as president.

"And one thing's for sure and I make you this commitment. If I'm president of the United States I will not rest until Michigan has come,” said Romney.

Decided or not ... voters say getting an up-close look at a major presidential candidate is exciting.

"So this is kind of fun. We like this part of politics," said voter Laura Jewell.

"It is very exciting, absolutely," said Polega.

Romney also made stops in Traverse City and Battle Creek Saturday.

yes, Mitt has changed his view on a few things, but who hasn't changed what they believe in once or twice in their life time. As you get older and experience life you come to realize what is important and what is petty. At least he admits he has changed his view AND has the record to show what he truly believes. And Anonymous in IN...go back to IN, you don't have a say in the Primary, yes you may have a say in the final election, but who gets there to the final election is all our responibility

Mitt is going to win Michigan because Michigan won't let this last chance at survival pass them by. Mitt will be the best friend Michigan has ever had in Washington!
