LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Gov. Jennifer Granholm is still hoping Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will do well in Tuesday's Texas and Ohio elections.

But she wouldn't say Friday what she thinks the Democratic presidential candidate should do if she loses one or both states.

"We'll have to see what happens," Granholm told reporters. "She just has to make an evaluation on Tuesday of how things are going."

Clinton has lost 11 primary contests in a row to Sen. Barack Obama and is hoping a win in Texas or Ohio will slow his momentum. But she may have to consider getting out of the race if she does poorly.

Granholm added that "regardless of which candidate is at the helm, we are going to have a great race and a great candidate."

The Democratic governor, one of the hundreds of superdelegates who will help decide the party's nominee, endorsed Clinton last October.

Granholm was at a bookstore in Mason Friday to discuss her economic development ideas with community members in the county seat south of Lansing.
