SOUTH BEND — For the first time in 40 years, Indiana's presidential primary is drawing a lot of interest. Last week all three members of the Clinton family stopped here. Barack Obama says he'll visit soon. But the voter registration deadline is April 7.

St. Joseph County residents can register to vote at the County Clerk's office in the courthouse, at the BMV when renewing or applying for a driver's license, on the fourth floor of the County City Building or at other locations.

There are changes in the registration process each year. To see what they are, read the 2008 Voter Registration Guidelines (PDF)
