SOUTH BEND — Hundreds are prepared to show their support for Sen. Barack Obama after picking up some last minute Obama merchandise.

The Illinois senator will be making a campaign stop at Washington High School Wednesday.

One vendor who set up shop on Western Avenue in South Bend says he sold more than 50 t-shirts, hats and flags in just over an hour Tuesday.

Stanley Turner says he followed the Obama campaign all the way from Los Angeles, and he claims his South Bend customers are the most excited he's seen yet.

“They're telling me, ‘Go Obama!’ They're telling me, ‘I'm ready for a change!’ They’re telling me ‘I’m excited!’ Turned told WSBT News. “Because a few people had my attitude. They didn't care about voting, and something about it, they want to vote now."

Turner says he will be out selling again Wednesday.
