Obama leads Clinton in most recent Indiana voter pollSBT24/7 News Report
Democratic presidential hopefuls Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill. and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y. (AP Photos) Presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., recently said he hopes Indiana will be the tiebreaker in his tight race with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D.-N.Y., for the party's nomination. It's been a battle that includes the loss of Michigan and Florida's delegates and the ongoing dispute over seating them at the convention in Denver later this year. A battle for Indiana's vote and the Hoosier state's delegates. A battle over the shifting of superdelegates and now, the latest talk of super-superdelegates. Not to mention the heightened rhetoric over race and Obama's Chicago pastor, religion and the "bitter" comments on those who rely on that and their guns, and Clinton's latest volley on who's most qualified to answer the red phone in the White House. And Obama may be right. With the Indiana primary just a few weeks ago, a recent shift in the poll numbers show Obama with a narrow edge in the Hoosier state. The Associated Press released Tuesday the latest numbers for Indiana, which show Obama ahead by 5 percentage points. The Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg telephone poll of 687 voters, completed Tuesday, shows his 40 percent edging out Clinton's 35 percent of voters. The poll also found 19 percent undecided, according to the AP. Nonetheless, the results — with a margin error of 4 percentage points — reflect just one set of data. Most PopularMore Good Stuff |
