SOUTH BEND — He wanted to go where everybody knows his name. Saturday, it wasn’t Cheers; it was CJ’s Pub.

Saturday afternoon, actor Ted Danson showed up to the South Bend bar, greeting fans and serving a beverage or two.

But the real reason he's here is the Indiana primary. Danson is on the road campaigning for his personal friend Sen. Hillary Clinton.

He talked about the race so far and said she has taken on more attacks than anyone other candidate.

“All she cares about is getting back up and taking care of you, and I think that's a quality that I would like to see in our next president,” Danson told the crowd. “Because believe me, the world is going to throw a lot of punches at our next president and it'd be nice to know that they are capable of getting back up and staying focused.”

Danson's wife, actress Mary Steenbergen, is from Little Rock. President Bill Clinton gave her away when she and Danson got married.

Danson will campaign for Clinton in Terre Haute on Sunday.

Well, the commenteers seem paticularly vicious today. Hey JIMBO! Be careful what you wish for because when it's all over, it could very well all be over! Maybe we should all start drinking heavily so that when the spit hits the fans we're numb to the pain. Obama can't talk and after a typical campaign stop Hillary can't walk, McCain?ZZZZ, he wants to be woken up after the election. She's got 'May Day Malone'he's got 'The Boss' and we're all getting screwed. They should run together; Rock N Rol

Boo-hoo, poor Hillary, I'll guarantee you the punches she's taken are miniscule compared to the torture McCain endured for years as a P.O.W. in Hanoi. GIVE ME A BREAK!

Great show cheers, bad lib Ted :( Yesterdays in Granger seems to be a place for more conservative folks. I spend my money on things and places that suits me, no more CJ burgers, or seasonings for me.
