SOUTH BEND — Sen. Hillary Clinton will speak Saturday at Coveleski Stadium.

Doors open to the event at noon, and Clinton, the New York Democratic presidential contender, is expected to appear around 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

The stadium, often referred to as "The Cove," is home to the South Bend Silver Hawks.

The trip will be Clinton’s third to the South Bend area. She spoke at Mishawaka High School on March 28 and toured AM General’s Humvee plant on April 12.

Clinton, D-N.Y., and Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., are both vying for their party’s nomination for president.

Indiana’s primary election is May 6.

Look around you--and THINK about it--what kind of a car/truck/SUV/gas guzzler do YOU drive--Yes, gas is high but it seems like the people who whine the loudest drive vehicles that get the least mileage-get a clue and then get a car that gets at least a reasonable mpg--you don't NEED to drive military typle vehicles--if the president and his cronies were not all oil men-retired or otherwise things might be somewhat better too...

I wonder what your thoughts are on the homeless people in every town? Any plan to get them off the streets? How to fix the fuel problem & what to do about jobs for the service men when they all come home. Maybe we should send the service men into each town with drug gangs & have them clean them up. Bitter people all of you. What if Obama came on Saturday instead of Hillary that would be ok? Who cares seems like Obama could't even stick around after he lost in PA. I am still undecided but the way Obama is going he sure is making up my mind fast.

Joe Kernan is a Hillary supporter. Thats why March of Dimes gets bumped. Not right at all. Obama comes to our area when it works the best..even if it has to be 9pm at night. Hillary only comes under her conditions.

WOWWEE! Hillary has invited Obama to another debate. Wouldn't it be great if they had it right there at the Cove? No wait;Obama has said 'No thanks'. I guess he ain't as dumb as I hoped. They both really should be there. You can almost SMELL the homelessness all around that neighborhood. What are they going to do about it? Yea they got ideas for health care but those ideas mean as much to a jobless homeless person as their intentions to decrease gas prices does to someone who doesn't own a car!

She will be near monroe circle/laurel court...this will probably be the first time that area will have some real surveillance/security. But will it influence the residents there to be clinton voters? what will be the significance of that?

Have you ever seen a millionaire that was broke today that couldn't come up with a million tomorrow? Donald Trump filed bankruptcy a bunch of years ago which to me would imply he had less than any money at all. He's still a billionaire. I should be as broke as the Clintons!

Hilary and Obama's duel is as interesting to me as an Ohio State vs. Michigan football game. There's nothing outstanding, or upstanding about either institution. WHO CARES?

Hillary is broke and finished! The media just wants to create the buzz of the story! And the Clinton's are going to try to steal this election @ the convention.

Make sure she brings cash to pay the bill. Her campaign is running in the red and she is broke! Are you sure we want her running our national budget when she cannot raise enough for her run?

I'll be anxious to hear how she feels after her nail biting loss to Obama in Pa. Oh I know HE didn't win, but since she didn't beat him by 90% neither did she. As far as the media and national democratic committee is concerned she may as well be coming to South Bend to give her concession speech. When the final curtain finally does fall on what was once a great nation I hope it falls on all the media first. Watching them go first would almost be worth the catastrophe they helped to create.

Yes, I agree, gas prices are horrible, went up to 3.65 today. Its sickening, & something needs to be done about it. Am I supposed to quit my job, becaue I cant afford the gas to get there? What is Hilary going to do??

Not exactly an intimate venue, but if the weather is nice, I guarantee you are going to have a good time....IF you can afford the GASOLINE ! WRITE YOUR LEGISLATORS ! (Here is some sample text !) Gasoline, regular, unleaded, has reached well over $ 3.50 a gallon in Northern Indiana. We, the consumer and your constituents, cannot take this..... Please....do SOMETHING before "the people" get VIOLENT ! Nobody will benefit from THAT !

Now why didn't they do that in the first place? Instead of trying to go to the school. Now more people can go and now no one has an excuse of being "scared" to go. By they way if you're that scared- GO TO CHURCH!

Looks like the Washington High School Principal blocked Hillary Clinton again. Although this time Hillary Clinton wanted a larger venue. Stadium can hold around 5,000 people.
