Former Congressman Roemer campaigning for Obama

Former Congressman Tim Roemer will campaign for Sen. Barack Obama for president Monday in northern Indiana.

He will stop at four Obama for America offices and go door to door with local volunteers and union members in South Bend. Roemer will end the day with a house party in Granger.

Here is his schedule:

— Obama for America office in Michigan City, 618 Franklin St., at 10:30 a.m.

—116 S. Main St., Elkhart, at 2:30 p.m.

— 211 S. Fifth St., Goshen, at 3:50 p.m.

— 205 W. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, at 5:30 p.m.

— Door-to-door canvassing starting at 422 E. Angela Blvd., South Bend, at 6:15 p.m.

— House party at 15424 Tabor Hill Court, Granger at 7:20 p.m.

Roemer served five terms in the U.S. House of Representatives and then on the 9-11 Commission.

He will discuss Obama’s plans to revive the economy and strengthen the middle class.
