Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano will make campaign stops Sunday in Indiana for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Napolitano will start with a canvass kickoff in Fort Wayne followed by community gatherings in Mishawaka and Valparaiso.

The program in Mishawaka will be in the Blue Room at John Young Middle School, 1801 N. Main St. The 2:40 p.m. event will be free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.

Napolitano is Arizona’s third woman governor and the first woman to win re-election.

Obama, and U.S. senator from Illinois, and New York Sen. Hillary Clinton are vying for 72 pledged delegates at stake in Tuesday’s Indiana primary.

how long has this campaign been going on? waaaaay too long. the cast of characters past deeds and reputations should have disqualified them all from any office, high or low. our esteemed present hailed chief would probably be bussing dishes or scrapping copper if not for family connections and wealth. in this time of peril, we need the proverbial white knight coming down the road. instead our choices will be more of the same, trust me and the mystery kid. all we have to fear is the future itself

If I wasn't persuaded by Ted Danson I sure ain't gonna pay no attention to someone I don't even know! Or, is he coming in to tell everyone that he pulled the endorsement he had committed to Clinton to give to Obama? That would make more sense. A loser with no sense of committment coming in to anounce he's a flip flopper asking you to vote for a guy that can buy his way in and out of obstacles. Good thing he can too because he aint even smart enough to know how to get out of his own way.

It is worth noting that the primary in NC and IN and ultimately the election hinge on a bet by two of the candidates that low information voters will believe their preposterous assertions that a "gas tax holiday" will help them pay their fuel bills this summer. Anyone with a high school level education in economics will tell you a gas tax holiday will actually have the effect of raising gasoline prices. The consumer will simply never see a dime and the oil companies will make even higher profi
