INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The deadline to register to vote in Indiana has arrived.
Monday is the final day that Hoosiers can register to vote for the Nov. 4 general election.
Voters can register at their county clerk's office and other government facilities. Indiana BMV branches, which normally accept voter registrations, are closed Monday.
Voters can also register by mail, but the forms must be postmarked by Monday.
As of late last week, more than 4.4 million people were registered to vote in Indiana. That's nearly 70 percent of the state's 6.3 million residents. The previous record for a presidential election was 4.2 million.
Monday is also the first day for early voting for the Nov. 4 election.
