Breakdown of Indiana Democratic delegation

Here is the breakdown on how Indiana's 85 delegates to the Democratic National Convention are determined:

47 BY CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT:

— Districts 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9 (held by Democratic Reps. Peter Visclosky, Joe Donnelly, Andre Carson, Brad Ellsworth and Baron Hill): six delegates each, allocated by district vote, with presidential candidate needing to win by 58 percent to gain a 4-2 split.

— District 6 (held by Republican Rep. Mike Pence): five delegates, with whichever candidate has the most primary votes gaining a 3-2 advantage.

— Districts 3, 4 and 5 (held by Republican Reps. Mark Souder, Steve Buyer and Dan Burton): four delegates each, with candidate needed 65 percent majority to gain a 3-1 split.

25 STATEWIDE:

— 16 at-large pledged delegates: Allocated to presidential candidates based on statewide vote, with a 55 percent margin needed to advance to a 9-7 split.

— Nine pledged party leaders or elected officials: Party leaders or officials such as state legislators or mayors who are pledged to candidate based on statewide vote, with whichever candidate has the most primary votes gaining a 5-4 advantage.

13 SUPERDELEGATES:

— 13 elected officials or party leaders who are free to vote as they wish at the convention. Here is who they are and whom they are supporting:

SUPPORTING CLINTON:

— Sen. Evan Bayh

— Phoebe Crane, Democratic National Committee member from Whitestown

— Joe Andrew, former national Democratic chairman

— Dan Parker, state party chairman

— Robert Pastrick, former East Chicago mayor and DNC member

SUPPORTING OBAMA:

— Rep. Baron Hill

— Rep. Andre Carson

— Cordelia Lewis-Burks, vice chairwoman of state party

— Connie Thurman, DNC member from Indianapolis

UNDECIDED:

— Rep. Joe Donnelly

— Rep. Brad Ellsworth

— Rep. Peter Visclosky

NOTE: The 13th unpledged delegate will be nominated at the state convention in June.
