McCain to return to Ohio for Cleveland stopCLEVELAND (AP) — While his Republican party continues its storm-shortened convention in Minnesota, John McCain is making another visit to Ohio. The GOP presidential candidate is scheduled to stop in Cleveland on Tuesday, arriving at Burke Lakefront Airport near downtown during the early part of the afternoon. McCain also was in the state on Monday, when he went to a disaster relief center near Toledo to help pack cleaning supplies and other items for the Gulf Coast region hit by Hurricane Gustav. As the nation focused on the storm's arrival, Republicans curtailed the opening session of their national convention in St. Paul, Minn. McCain's Democratic rival, Barack Obama, is planning campaign appearances Wednesday in eastern Ohio, in New Philadelphia and Dillonvale. |
