ALTA LOMA, Calif. (KTLA) -- The search is on in Alta Loma for a vandal who carved the name "Obama" into a number of cars in a neighborhood full of Mitt Romney supporters.

The homes in the neighborhood feature yard signs, many of them supporting presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Many of the residents discovered Saturday that someone had used a key to vandalize their vehicles. Some cars even sustained damage to their interior upholstery.

"I know crime is everywhere but it really doesn't affect you until it happens to you," said Ralph Sanchez, who lives on the street.

Sanchez's car was keyed and his upholstery was slashed by someone who clearly didn't approve of his choice in presidential candidates.

"They scrawled 'Obama' on top of the car," he said.

Other neighbors on the Sanchez's street reported vandalism and theft.
