Though some observers speculated that he would enter the presidential race this year, Christie was an early Mitt Romney supporter and a prominent (and outspoken) speaker during the Republican National Convention. Christie is now in an awkward position with many conservatives for his continued praise of President Obama and the federal response to Superstorm Sandy. Christie is currently escalating his re-election efforts in New Jersey.
