LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan voters are about evenly divided on how favorably they view President Barack Obama.
A poll from EPIC-MRA of Lansing released Monday shows 47 percent of responding likely voters said they had a favorable opinion of the Democratic president. Another 47 percent had an unfavorable opinion and 6 percent were undecided.
The telephone poll of 600 respondents was conducted July 9-11 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
A similar poll showed Obama's favorability rating among Michigan voters was 53 percent in May after the death of Osama bin Laden. Forty percent gave him an unfavorable rating and 7 percent were undecided.
