A brother and sister on the east side of the state are dead after a bonfire exploded over the weekend.

It happened on Saturday in Saint Clair Township, which is about an hour northeast of Detroit. 18 year old Savannah Blewett was celebrating her high school graduation at her brother's home when they decided to have a large bonfire. Investigators say some wood was doused in gasoline before Savannah lit it on fire, which caused a large explosion.

Savannah and her 27 year old brother, Christopher were killed in that explosion. The Detroit Free Press says that autopsy results show the siblings died of blunt traumatic injuries they received from the debris in the blast. 4 other people were hurt in that explosion; 3 of them had to be taken to the hospital.

Investigators are still looking into the incident, and say they've interviewed 10 people who were at that party.

Meanwhile, funeral arrangements for the siblings are still pending.
