Police in Kokomo, Ind., say tips have dried up over the weekend, leading them to believe two wanted men from West Michigan and their girlfriends have left the area.
Friday, police chased numerous tips for possible sightings of Kenneth Grauman II, Gregory Bradshaw, Brittany Rector, and Laura Grauman. One person told police of possibly seeing the four at a gas station asking for directions to Decatur, Ind.
The men are considered armed and dangerous, after they stole several vehicles and broke into homes, taking guns along the way.
Grauman's cousin, Kassandra Sego, recently moved to Kokomo. She told FOX 17 she believed the four had intended to find her, but claimed she has not seen them and likely won't.
"[Kenneth] is not going back to jail," said Sego. "It's a death wish."
While none of the tips have led to anything concrete, the community can't help but feel a little on edge from all the sudden attention.
"It's kind of scary," said Kokomo resident Cameron New. "You don't see that much of this in this town. I hope they catch them."
"It is serious," said Jan Droll. "We were talking about it at our community watch the other night, keeping an eye on our neighborhood."
