Converter boxes are a hot topic when it comes to digital television.

If you use an antenna to take a signal over the air, you will need one next February.

Linda from Pulaski County wants to know, “Where can you find these converter boxes?”

Many stores are expected to carry converter boxes, but we checked on some of the biggest names.

Best Buy in Mishawaka now has them, the cost is $60. The Circuit City in Mishawaka doesn't have them yet but the store on the south side of South Bend does. The cost again is $60. Meijer in Mishawaka told WSBT they don't have them yet, but will. The best price we found was at Walmart for $50.

But remember all those prices for a converter box are without the government offered voucher. Bring one of those with to the store and you can knock $40 off the price.

But don't wait long to get a voucher so you can watch digital television. The National Association of Broadcasters believes there’s a chance the government didn't allocate enough.

“While we have a year to switch over to digital TV, those vouchers are probably going to run out by the end of this year, or sooner,” said WSBT's Scott Leiter.

To get a coupon, call 1-888-DTV-2009.
