Gas prices jumped back up again — some gas stations hitting as high as $3.85 for regular unleaded.

Ray Redlin of Winamac wants to know, "With gas prices soaring here in the states, what is the price of gas in Europe?"

As WSBT's Kirk Mason explains, it could be a lot worse.

If looking at our gas prices right now makes you do a double take, what would $9 or even $10 per gallon do?

According to a CNN report from earlier this month, 9 of the 10 most expensive gas countries in the world are European.

Eritrea, a North African country, had an average price of $9.58 per gallon. The next nine countries were all in Europe — including England at $8.38 per gallon, France at $8.07 and Germany at $7.86.

Those prices are more than double what we pay and in some cases close to triple.

According to a survey, Venezuela had the cheapest gas prices in the world.

At the start of April, prices averaged 12 cents per gallon.
