SOUTH BEND — The large number of people voting before Election Day this year is raising concerns about voter fraud.

Jill Bansback of Granger asked this Good Question: "If I went to my polling location on November 4th and tried to vote, would they be able to tell that I already voted?"

WSBT's Kirk Mason has the answer.

Hang out in the lobby of South Bend's County City Building and you will find voters. A lot of voters have already cast their ballots for next week's election. At last check, the St. Joseph County Clerk's Office says 14,000 people have voted. But how does the county make sure none of those 14,000 try and vote again?

Early or absentee voting works just like Election Day. There's a voter list, and when you vote your name is marked off. That's why on Election Day, if someone voted in the morning, then went back later in the day and tried to vote again, poll workers can easily turn them away.

Election Day is November 4.
