By WSBT News1

If you're dealing with the recent loss of a loved one, you know this time of year can bring some mixed emotions. However, there is a way to offer some help to those living through grief during the holiday season.

Elizabeth Yaw of South Bend asked a Good Question: "Do you know who to contact to become a Christmas Commando?

WSBT's Kirk Mason looked into it.

Imagine waking up on Christmas morning with your house now decorated and some presents you didn't expect under the tree. Sounds like Santa. Well, Santa has some special helpers.

The group is called Christmas Commandos. They help people who have lost a child or a parent within the last year. If you want to help them and become a Christmas Commando in our area, check out the Make a Difference Michiana website at www.makeadifferencemichiana.org, and click on Christmas Commandoes. This is where you can fill out information to become involved.

Mary Dunbar from Make a Difference says Christmas Commandos is a fairly secretive organization that's not seeking lots of publicity, but they are seeking lots of help. And this website is how they find it.
