The federal government is spending millions of dollars to help retrain local RV workers for new careers.

Dave from Goshen has a Good Question: "Are the millions of dollars for displaced RV workers running out?"

Kirk Mason found out that is not true.

Last year when the full brunt of RV layoffs began to hit, then US Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao announced a $10.4 million national emergency grant.

An Indiana RV worker permanently displaced is eligible to apply.

Workers are eligible for up to $6,000 to complete an associate degree or a credential in a high wage, high demand job.

Mark Lotter, spokesman for Indiana WorkOne, said they are nowhere close to running out of money. Lotter said if you think you're eligible, go to WorkOne and apply.

But Lotter also stresses there is help available for workers laid off from any industry, not just RV.

He said the key is to go to WorkOne and talk to someone there to find out if you are eligible for aid to help retrain yourself for a new career.
