Spring is here and we know that can mean severe thunderstorms and in some cases tornadoes.

Beverly Taylor of South Bend had a Good Question: “How do I find out where the closest tornado siren is to my home?"

WSBT's Kirk Mason looked into it.

Around St. Joseph County there are 67 different tornado sirens.

Some of the most high profile spots include one at Saint Mary's College, Cleveland Road just east of Grape Road, Michigan and Ireland on the south side of South Bend, and Potato Creek State Park.

If you want to know where the closest siren is in St. Joseph County or the county where you live, you should contact your local emergency management agency.

In St. Joseph County's case the phone number to call during business hours is 574-235-9234.
