If you are attending this weekend's Notre Dame-Boston College game, you may see and or hear something special in the sky.

A viewer had a Good Question: “Why haven’t there been any jets flying over for Notre Dame home games?”

It turns out you should get to see them Saturday.

Last Saturday, an army paratrooper brought the game ball into Notre Dame Stadium for the game against USC - quite a sight to see. And there will be another sight to see next Saturday.

F-16 fighter jets are expected to make an appearance over Notre Dame Stadium Saturday.

Sports information director John Heisler says the plan is for the jets to fly over right before kick-off, following the national anthem. But Heisler points out that is just a plan. These are military jets, and plans can change. The U.S. Military is very busy these days.

If you are wondering why flyovers don't happen more often, Heisler says Notre Dame has them when the military can fit it into their schedule. It's not just up to the university.
