The St. Joseph Regional Medical Hospital's move to Mishawaka also means changes to public transportation.

Charlotte Hunt of South Bend has a Good Question: “Is there going to be a Transpo route to the new hospital?"

Transpo is providing bus service to the new hospital off Douglas Road in Mishawaka. Two bus routes that already travel through Mishawaka will make stops at the hospital.

The University Park Mall number 15a that runs throughout the day will stop at the hospital, and the Town and Country Shopping Center bus number 15 that leaves early in the morning will also make a stop.

Transpo is also adding a stop at the new Brown Mackie College. Notre Dame-University Park Mall bus number 7 stops at the college's new Douglas Road location.

To travel from downtown South Bend to the new hospital, you'll have to transfer to a 2nd bus to make the trip. It is 75 cents one way no matter how many buses it takes you to get there.
