3-year-old boy found dead on school bus in Aliso Viejo (KTLA) |
ALISO VIEJO (KTLA) -- The cause of death is yet to be determined for a 3-year-old disabled boy who was found dead on a school bus last week in Aliso Viejo.
The mother of another special needs child discovered Kevin Cisler slumped over in his wheelchair late Friday afternoon.
She had just boarded the Capistrano Unified School District bus to pick up her own child when she noticed Cisler sitting there, unconscious.
The mother asked the bus driver called 911. When paramedics arrived, they took the child to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities do not believe foul play was a factor.
An autopsy was performed Monday morning but the results proved to be inconclusive.
Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesperson, Jim Amormino said "Hopefully we'll know the cause of death in seven to 10 days," and "We need more time with the case. It is pending further investigation."
The boy was attending a Dana Point special-needs school.
