GLENDALE, Calif. (KTLA) -- A long-time tennis coach in Glendale is accused of molesting one of his students, and police want to know if there are more victims.
46-year-old Dale Kim, a married Northridge resident, faces 10 felony counts of committing lewd acts with a 15-year-old student -- a girl from Granada Hills.
He is also charged with seven felony counts of oral copulation of a minor, two felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and two felony counts of sexual penetration with a foreign object.
The alleged crimes took place from June 1, 2011 to April 5 of this year, according to police.
Investigators say some happened at the Scholl Canyon Tennis Center in Glendale, where Kim rents courts for private lessons, and others took place at a motel room in Tujunga.
Kim was arrested on Monday at the tennis complex after the girl reported the allegations to police.
Investigators say taht the girl had been coached by Kim for several years.
At some point, Kim apparently offered the girl massages, which allegedly led to him touching her body in a sexual manner, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.
Their interaction allegedly progressed to fondling, which police say occurred in Kim's vehicle in the tennis complex parking lot.
Eventually, Kim allegedly took the girl to a motel in Tujunga, where they engaged in sexual intercourse, according to police.
Several months later, the girl notified police about her alleged relationship with Kim.
Kim is being held on $875,000 bail. He was charged and acquitted of sexual battery back in January 1998, L.A. County Superior Court records show.
Detectives are now trying to determine how many students he instructed, and if there may be additional victims.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Glendale police.
