Greenpeace Activists Arrested After Illegally Boarding a Shell Drilling Ship Headed to AK

An environmental group's public demonstration is put to a halt after police arrested Greenpeace activists who were trying to stop a Shell drilling ship from heading to Alaska.

Last week, the group had illegally boarded the Noble Discoverer, docked in New Zealand.

It's an oil drilling ship under contract to Shell and scheduled to start exploring for oil this summer.

Among the group of protestors was 43 year old actress Lucy Lawless, best known for her role playing Xena, The warrior princess.

Prosecutors have charged the protesters with burglary, but Greenpeace insists that no property was taken or damaged during the protest.
