Help the Red Cross

By Beth Boehne

When disasters like tornadoes, earthquakes, fires, or floods happen, the Red Cross isn't usually far behind. But now, the Red Cross says it needs help. Their federal disaster relief fund is empty.

Now, to continue helping out in flood zones across the Midwest, they're taking out loans again. They're optimistic they'll be able to raise enough money to pay those loans back. But the local chapters don't qualify for loans.
