Filing for unemployment in Michigan

Michigan will keep its unemployment benefits phone line open longer, at least temporarily. Most types of phone lines will stay open until 6 p.m. on weekday evenings, instead of 4:30 p.m. You can also use the online service from 7 a.m. Monday to 7 p.m. Saturday. The state has also added a new call center and hundreds of additional workers to handle calls.
