Motorcyclist Injured in Cass County Crash

(SBT24/7News) A Dowagiac man was hospitalized after an early morning motorcycle accident, police said.

Larry Patzer, 53, was headed north on Currans Beach Road in Silver Creek Twp. when he lost control of his motorcycle shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, the Cass County Sheriff's Office said.

Patzer ran off the road and hit an embankment. He was taken to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac.

Patzer was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, police said, and alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
