Principal: No Threat in Rumor Student Will Bring Gun to Plymouth High School

(SBT24/7News) Plymouth High School Principal James Condon reported Monday morning that a rumor about a student planning to take a gun to school Thursday is not substantiated.

Apparently, the situation arose as a result of three male students harassing a young female student during a class, Condon said. The young lady responded out of anger that she was going to bring a gun to school and shoot the boys if they did not stop picking on her.

The high school administration has been in communication with all four students involved plus their parents, and they have been assured that the threat is not valid, he said.

Condon reported that PHS administrators also met briefly with representatives from local and state police forces in an attempt to proactively communicate and defuse the rumor.
