(SBT24/7News) A 19-year-old man pleaded guilty to arson Monday morning after prosecutors agreed to cap his prison sentence at eight years.

Justin A. Brooks of Washington, D.C., is one of three men charged with arson in connection with three fires on April 24, 26 and 29 that caused minimal damage to Park Jefferson Apartments. The other two are William O. Glover and David A. Opfer of South Bend.

Brooks faced up to 20 years in prison on each of three counts of arson, a Class B felony. He will be sentenced Jan. 9.

The picture WSBT is using for this story couldn't be from the same fires this man is accused of setting. The story says the fires caused MINIMAL damage yet flames are seeing pouring out of the roof of this building. This is more than MINIMAL damage.
