Heavy rainfall causes flooding and high waters in Southwest Michigan

BERRIEN COUNTY — Southwestern Michigan has seen nearly 2 inches of rainfall within the past 2 days. This rainfall along with melting snow has caused flooding and high water on roadways.

Some of these roads include:


  • Red Arrow Highway, N. of Warren Dunes State Park — CFS #955

  • Sawyer Road, in from of TA — CFS #957

  • Flynn Road at Sawyer Road — CFS #961

  • Minnich Road at Hanover Road — CFS #966

  • E. Galien Buchanan Road, between Dayton and Gardner — CFS #956, 2 feet of water over road and closed by BCRC at 8 a.m.

  • Mill Road, N. of Elm Valley Road — CFS #973

  • Burgoyne Road, N. or Glendora Road — #984

  • Fedore, between Madron Lake and Miller Road — #985

  • N. US 31, South of E. Linco Road — #CFS 986
