MISHAWAKA — South Bend Police arrested a man suspected of robbing the Key Bank on Lincoln Way West in Mishawaka. Seth Barnhart, 29, was arrested Tuesday evening in the 3000 block of Mishawaka Avenue in South Bend.

The robbery at 401 Lincoln Way West occurred at about 3:39 p.m. Monday, when a man approached one of the teller stations and displayed a note reading, "Put money on counter now," according to a police report. A teller then placed an unknown amount of cash on the counter before the man spoke up and said, "One hundred dollar bills."

The suspect soon grabbed the money from the counter and walked out.

Barnhart is in the St. Joseph County Jail on a charge of Robbery, according to the Mishawaka Police Department.

I don't believe that story about Hate Nurst, I know that story could'nt have happened without Craig Weston and Eric Lach not being there! This kid probably should've gone to Mishawaka, he would've fit in better. Although, Grissom is the more mishwaka-y of the two junior highs that feed into Penn, ha!

Seth once challenged me to a mercy match on the hard rubber floor of Grissom Stadium. I knew this was coming, for I had been training my 185lb body for this very moment. Seth, weighing in at about 130lbs, didn't see it coming. We locked fingers and clutched. I have to say it was effortless on my part. The moment went down in Grissom lore with the likes of Sarah Lanoo and Laura Beisel standing near by. It became just another victory which propelled me to the Ron Eversol award in 8th grade.

Oh please people, don't blame the drugs when you don't even know the person. I also knew him growing up, and he's been a thief since we were little kids. Everyone knows it. I don't feel sorry for him, he's had PLENTY of time to change his ways. It's not like he grew up in the "hood" either, so he can't use that as an excuse. He got what he deserves once again. Crack or no crack, meth or no meth, he's the same as he's always been. Any of us Elm Road/Grissom/Penn class of '97 will say it!

Why is he a jerk? Well, ever since elementary school he was cruel to everyone, kids, teachers and animals. His family was 'different' I imagine now that there was some sort of abuse. As kids we didn't much care since he punched us, spit on us and stole from us. It just goes to show what troubled kids can turn into. And to who said that Seth was an awesome person, well, not sure how long you've known him, must not have been as long as some of us...

This guy has been in and out of jail ever since I met him 15 years ago. He's a loser and prison obiously won't help. He just got out last week and look what he does. Some people just don't belong in society. Here is a perfect example.

Seth is an awesome person. He has had a bad life; and let drugs get the best of him. But he will be in my prayers, because I know this time when he gets out of prison I have faith in him that he will be a changed man.

Obviously this young man has some troubles. Drugs? Gambling? Troubled youth? or all of the above? His parents must be devastated. Very, very bad choice on his part, but nobody is ALL bad. I will pray for him for a chance even though according to posts here, he was a jerk. But..why was he a jerk? What made him a jerk? Hopefully a few years put away and some counseling, he can be a contributing member to the society. My prayers for him and his family and thank god nobody got hurt at the bank.

Who the h*** robs a bank for $100 in dollar bills? First, no disguise, now this? Dude, you must not be the sharpest knife in the drawer! Maybe he was going to go play lots of games at the arcade or something. Anyway, I'm glad he was caught. Now us tax payers can pay to keep him in Jail for a really long time!

I went to school with him too. He was a jerk then to all other kids and teachers. I am definitely not surprised whatsoever. What a moron anyways, you'd think you'd at least TRY to disguise yourself if you were going to rob a bank. I never did think he was too bright...
