I still can't believe people actually follow this. Like you can really save by using an extra gallon driving clear across town to save 3 cents. DO THE MATH PEOPLE, IT IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!

Thank you Liberals. First your politicians refuse to drill in Alaska. Next you don't want us to drill in the Gulf of Mexico. Then you tell us that Ethanol is the way to go. The result? Rice and corn prices are up, gas prices are high, and the shortage of food driven by high oil prices due to mass investing in ethanol is causing serious world famine, riots, and death. Nice goin'.

Oil companies don't need the United States like they use to to sell their petroleum too, now the United States is catching up to the most of rest of the world with higher gas prices. Recent friends here from France say they pay over $5.00 per gallon and have for awhile. There are many things that can be done but we Americans don't like to work together,we are all too selfish & spoiled,me included but it takes ALL of us to demand change.

I thought the Democrats got elected in 2006 because they were going to bring the price of gas down.

You guys are being a bunch of babies. Why don't you just be thankful that gasoline is available for you to purchase!!! The oil company is allowed to make a profit!! It is their company. You shouldn't depend on their product if you are going to compain about the price they need to make some profit!! Billions of dollars of profit a year is normal for companies that large!

I use my car as my job. These gas prices are killing me. I wish I could carpool to work, but I HAVE to drive MY vehicle. I use almost $150 a week in gas. I can't use any less, it's my job to make these deliveries. HELP someone please HELP I am going to end up like the senior citizens of this country and have to make a choice between gas and food. I can't get another job because of the insurance on my recently disabled husband. So I am stuck.

The Oil Companies in collusion with the feds want us DEPENDENT on gasoline. Where do you think they get their taxes from HMMM? All the talk of conserving fuel, ethanol and the like is pure BS.

Its time for the people to take a stand and take over and not to weight on the goverment to do something about the gas price going up its time to protest these oil companys. We need to do what they did in 70s to stop the gas prices from going up up. Just to buy what is needed and car pooling.
