A robbery and high speed chase in Las Vegas Monday sent the suspect to the hospital — and has authorities investigating a possible link to the Tinley Park homicides, according to local media reports.

The Associated Press in Las Vegas told SBT24/7 News that a credit union robbery led to the chase, which ended when the suspect's car flipped east of downtown Las Vegas.

The man was taken to the hospital after the 10:45 a.m. incident.

But media outlets in Las Vegas and Chicago are now reporting the suspect may be questioned in the Tinley Park, Ill., murders of five women during what police believe was a botched robbery attempt of a Lane Bryant store on Feb. 2.

One of the victims, Jeni Bishop, is from South Bend and worked as a nurse at Memorial Hospital.

ABC affiliate KTNV in Las Vegas said the suspect is being held at the Clark County Detention Center there.

In Chicago, CBS affiliate WBBM reports that the Las Vegas robbery suspect bears a striking resemblance to the description of the man wanted in the Lane Bryant deaths.

Police have not yet commented on the case, and Tinley Park authorities told SBT24/7 News that they had no information on the possible lead overnight.

Calls to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were not immediately returned.

I doubt it is him too much of a weird consequence to be him in Vegas, but what happened to the saying "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas lol"?

I do not think it is him. Lane Bryant gunman is right handed and Vegas guy is left. Plus the only resemblance is the braids and the fact that they both are armed robbers. Also slight height and weight difference and oh yeah, race difference. But I do hope it is him.

I saw a photo of this guy that was caught. He really does look like the sketch that was made. I truly hope that they caught the monster this time!

For the sake of the families I hope that this is the man and justice is served. Also for the sake of the people that are in the same place as him. He is a dangerous man.
