A 25-year-old Rockford, Mich., man was fatally injured in a two-car accident on Michigan 60 Monday afternoon.

Adam Waldo was pulling out onto Michigan-60 about 1:30 p.m. when his car was struck by a pick-up truck driven by Darrell Mills Jr., 27, of Cassopolis, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported. Mills was turning onto Michigan-60 from Stone Lake Drive.

Waldo was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, and a passenger in his car, Megan DeJonge, 22, of Zeeland, Mich., was airlifted to Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Mills was treated at the scene and released. All were wearing seatbelts.

The crash remains under investigation.
