Dowagiac authorities have cited three liquor sales businesses after a 17-year-old decoy assisting police was able to purchase alcoholic beverages.

The decoy shopped at 15 different stores, police said in a statement, and was successful in buying at:

  • Round Oak Restaurant at 137 S. Front St.
  • Felpausch at 56151 M-51 South.
  • Manor Mini-Mart, 107 W. Railroad St.

The cashiers involved in the sales were cited for furnishing/selling alcohol to a minor. Possible license sanctions may come from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.
