ELKHART — Elkhart police have released a description of the two suspects involved in a robbery of the Olive Garden on Brittany Court Friday.

Around 1 p.m. two men, one armed with a silver handgun, robbed the Olive Garden and ran out of the building heading north.

Several witnesses told police they saw the men go inside the nearby Applebees Restaurant and then K-Mart soon after the robbery. Police believe the suspects may have changed clothes in the Applebees restroom, and then left the scene in a vehicle somewhere between Applebees and K-Mart.

Police describe the suspects as follows:

1) White male, 6'1" - 6'2", thin build, blue eyes, navy hoodie with white lettering, blue mask and black boots.
2) White male, 5'8" - 5'9", heavy build (210-220 pounds), navy hoodie with brown lettering, dark pants.

One of the suspects was carrying a blue and white backpack during the robbery.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Detective John Hammel of the Elkhart Police Department at 295-7076.

They just described half the men in Elkhart! Good job EPD, and is it just me or do those cops in the pic look so out of shape that they could chase anyone down? No wonder they got away! Only in Elkhart!
