SOUTH BEND — Family members of Joe Faecke, a South Bend man who has been missing since Sunday, are asking the public for help in locating him.

Faecke, 52, was last seen at his Mishawaka business, the Red Wing Shoe Store, in Indian Ridge Plaza. He was driving a gray 2000 Dodge Durango that has not been recovered. The vehicle, license plate number 71S1878, has a sticker in the shape of a red wing in the back window.

Faecke is 5-foot-11 and 250 pounds.

Family members told the South Bend Tribune they filed a police report Tuesday.

"There’s no reason to believe he would take off," Faecke’s wife, Catherine Faecke, said.

"This is totally out of character," Joe Faecke’s brother, Thomas Faecke, said.

Family members of Faecke are asking anyone with information of Faecke’s whereabouts to call Catherine Faecke at (574) 291-1048 or Thomas Faecke at (937) 479-0710.
