GOSHEN — Police are investigating a string of restaurant burglaries in Goshen. Someone broke into three restaurants on U.S. 33, and another one nearby on Wednesday. Police are looking for a connection.

“We were broken into and I am very angry,” said Tina Zhang.

Zhang works at the Panda Restaurant, off of U.S. 33 in Goshen.

“When we opened yesterday we found that we were broken into,” she told WSBT News.

And they weren't alone. Just down the road, someone broke into the King's Garden Buffet and San Jose Carneceria.

Then, a couple miles from there, thieves forced their way into Mancino's Restaurant.

The manager at Mancino’s said she was surprised that four restaurants including hers were broken into during roughly the same time period. She thinks the state of the economy had something to do with why so many were burglarized.

"It’s rather unusual. There was no particular pattern as far as the type of restaurant they were. But they were all restaurants, all in one night, all same kind of forced entry,” said Officer Joe Brown with the Goshen Police Department. “Patrol staff and our evidence technicians and detectives were busy pretty much, all day yesterday, with these burglaries."

For now, police continue to follow up leads in all of the cases, and for the moment, they can't say if they are connected.

It has nothing to do with the economy. It has to do with low life worthless punks not wanting to get out of there drug induced coma and get a job. The economy is hurting alot of us, But I would never do this. I rake leaves or clean up yards when my money is tight

Your written story got it right. Why can't you do it on the air? The term is BURGLARY! They were not robbed.
